Crash alert: Passenger killed in collision on Split Log Road in Brentwood

BRENTWOOD, TN – Police have released details of a fatal motor vehicle accident in Brentwood on Saturday, the Williamson Herald reports.

Officers responded to the scene on Split Log Road near the intersection of Cross  Pointe Drive at 5:18 p.m. According to the Brentwood Police Department, Julianna Tramell of Nashville made a U-turn in front of another vehicle that was going east on Split Log Road. The other driver, Suzanne Jones of Nolensville, was unable to stop and crashed into the passenger side of Trammell’s car.

Emergency crews extricated a passenger in Trammell’s vehicle, Ezekiel Thomas of Antioch and tried to administer life-saving measures.  He was pronounced dead at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Police are investigating the accident, and said neither driver showed any preliminary signs of impairment.

Crash Alert: Injuries reported in East Nashville collision

NASHVILLE, TN – Police in Nashville have reported at least one injury resulting from an afternoon collision east of downtown Friday.

According to the Nashville Police Department’s current traffic accidents page, the incident occurred within the 600 block of Dickerson Pike near the intersection with Grace Street at about 1:50 p.m.

No information regarding the circumstances leading of the collision or the severity of injuries sustained as a result has been made available as of Friday evening.

Police are advising motorists to avoid this portion of Dickerson Pike throughout Friday evening, as delays and closures are likely while the collision is under investigation.
