RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN – Drivers in Rutherford County were dealing with traffic delays on Saturday afternoon due to a cargo fire on Interstate 24, according to WSMV.
The incident happened on I-24 at mile marker 71, and was reported shortly after 3 p.m. The fire broke out on a vehicle that was carrying food products, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
No one was injured in the incident. Traffic was getting by on just one inside lane of I-24 while the scene was being cleared.
Authorities were expecting the delays to last for several hours.
