Crash alert: Overturned tractor-trailer disrupts traffic on I-40 in Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN – An accident involving a tractor-trailer disrupted traffic for drivers in Davidson County as the Labor Day weekend was drawing to a close.

According to News Channel 5, the vehicle overturned just before 6 p.m. Monday in the westbound lanes of Interstate 40 at Exit 208 near Jefferson Street, just outside of downtown Nashville.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation said all westbound lanes of I-40 were blocked while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.  It took until 10 p.m. for the roadway to be reopened.
