Crash alert: Truck driver charged after I-40 accident

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN – A truck driver is accused of driving under the influence after getting into an accident on a highway in Cumberland County this week, 1057 News reported.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 46-year-old Robert Felts was driving a Mack truck east on Interstate 40 when he went off the road and the rear trailer ended up on its side.  The driver was not injured in the incident.

Felts, of Mount Juliet, claimed that a deer came into his path, troopers said. He has been charged with DUI and failure to exercise due care.
