NASHVILLE, TN – Traffic was delayed in Nashville Tuesday morning after live chickens fell off of a flatbed truck, according to a report by News Channel 5.

The truck spilled chickens in cages onto Interstate 40, slowing westbound rush hour traffic along the south loop at the ramp to I-65 southbound.

Traffic was also affected on I-24 westbound.  Tennessee Department of Transportation crews responded for the cleanup, and the TDOT advised drivers that it expected the scene to be cleared by 8:45 a.m.
