MT. JULIET, TN — An investigation is underway after two construction workers were injured in separate falls at a work site in Mt. Juliet last week, according to WKRN.

A stop-work order was issued by the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration following the incidents at Austermiller Inc. Roofing and Construction.

The first occurred Wednesday at 7:30 a.m., when a man was reported to have fallen through a skylight and was left unconscious. He was hospitalized at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

On Thursday shortly before 1:30 p.m., Wilson County authorities received another call, this time that a 20-year-old man had also fallen through a skylight at the same site. He sustained leg and hand injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Both men were working on a roof project at the time they fell. Tennessee OSHA officials are looking into both incidents.
