Beech High School
Mr. Josh Harris is the Stem Engineering Teacher at Beech High School. He loves his job, his school, and makes learning interesting, challenging and FUN! Josh teaches his students about the engineering design process, using problem solving and critical thinking skills learned in his classes. The students learn how to use CAD software and 3D printers to bring their designs to life. The skills and knowledge offered prepare them for college and job readiness including "real world" problem solving. In addition, Josh is the Sumner County Junior and High School Bass Team Coach. Josh started this team at Beech and expanded it to all Sumner County Schools this year. The team competes with others schools in the state at fishing tournaments throughout the year. Prizes include college scholarships. Josh is one of those teachers you come across once in a great while. He is loved by students, families and colleagues. Students love him because he genuinely cares about them and encourages them to learn and grow.
