After spending nearly 17 years as an insurance defense attorney, Jamie witnessed firsthand how his decisions could profoundly affect the lives of people seriously injured by someone else’s negligence. Over time, he grew frustrated working for insurance companies—businesses built on promises made in exchange for premiums—when he saw how often those promises were broken. That realization inspired him to attend law school with a new mission: to stand up for individuals wronged by the very system he once defended.
Today, as a seasoned personal injury lawyer, Jamie is dedicated to fighting for the rights of those unfairly treated by insurance companies. Mr. Morrell’s practice is primarily focused on the handling of automobile liability, premises liability, and general negligence matters. He is dedicated to providing his clients with help and guidance inside and outside the courtroom.
Jamie grew up in northeast Ohio and central Illinois and attended Knox College, where he played football and received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After completing his undergraduate degree at Knox, Jamie attended Southern Illinois University Simmons Law School. Jamie currently lives in the Nashville area. He is a family man and enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and four children when away from the office. Jamie gives back to the community by volunteering with the local youth football, wrestling, and baseball organizations, where he helps coach several teams each year.
