I am originally from Illinois, north of St. Louis, Missouri. I earned a B.S. in environmental management from Western Kentucky University in 2002. After working several years in environmental consulting, I entered Nashville School of Law in 2009. I continued to work my full-time job and graduated from Nashville School of Law in December 2012. I passed the bar and began practicing in June 2013. I built a private practice, focusing on criminal defense. I began my work as an Assistant District Attorney General for the Office of the District Attorney General in the 23rd Judicial District of Tennessee in October 2015. As an Assistant DA I prosecuted anything from shoplifting to major drug trafficking organizations to capital murder. I have tried nearly 30 jury trials.

After working several years in environmental consulting, he entered the Nashville School of Law in 2009. He graduated in 2012.
He began practicing law in private practice soon after he graduated. He began his career as an Assistant District Attorney General for the Office of the District Attorney General in the 23rd Judicial District of Tennessee in October 2015. As an Assistant District Attorney, he tried many cases in court with most being jury trials. He joined Ponce Law in 2022.
I was named Prosecutor of the Year for the 23rd Judicial District for 2017 to 2018. I received the President’s Award from the Tennessee District Attorney General’s Conference in October 2021 for exceptional service to the State of Tennessee resulting from the successful prosecution of the murder of Sgt. Daniel Baker of the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office.
I am a past member of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National District Attorneys Association, and a current member of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association.
