Does Your Insurance Policy Cover the Zombie Apocalypse?

Insurance is an important thing to have. It can protect you and your home in the event of a personal injury. However, many people wonder what’s covered under home and life insurance policies. Would damages incurred during the rise of the zombified dead be covered? As Halloween approaches later this week, one company is Clarksville, Tennessee, says the answer is an astounding yes.

According to an article from WKRN 2 News, the company has received numerous calls about zombie insurance after posting a billboard outside their office. They say that zombies aren’t excluded from policies, which means coverage is included. So, what zombie damages would be covered? They say property damages would definitely be included, but life insurance coverage could be tricky for the reanimated.

The idea of insurance coverage for the zombie apocalypse may seem like a joke, but it does highlight one very important thing to remember about your insurance policies—grey areas in coverage that can leave room for disputes.
