|NASHVILLE, T.N. – A car collision was reported in Central Nashville on Friday afternoon by the Metro Nashville Police Department.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Sixth Avenue North and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 4:09 p.m. The cause of the accident is not yet known, nor is if anyone was injured. The department does report that property was damaged as a result of the crash.

Metro Nashville Police Department reports car wreck in Madison

|MADISON, T.N – The Metro Nashville Police Department has reported a car wreck in Madison on the afternoon of Friday, June 19 via the department’s official website.
MNPD reports that the wreck took place at East Old Hickory Road and Delaware Avenue at 3:53 p.m. At least one person was injured in the accident, but the extent of their injuries is not known at this time.

One killed in car accident in Bellevue

|NASHVILLE, T.N. – One person was killed in a car wreck in Bellevue on Friday morning, WKRN reports.
Authorities say 20-year-old Anna Miller was traveling south on Temple Road when she stopped her car at a flashing red light. While she drove into the road’s intersection at Highway 100, her 2004 Honda Accord was hit by a 24-year-old man in a 2003 Mercedes sedan.
The woman was rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center where she died of her injuries. The man driving the sedan was not injured but a passenger in the car was treated for minor injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle did not appear to be impaired. Police believe his failure to yield the right of way contributed to the accident.

Car accident with injuries reported in central Nashville

|NASHVILLE, T.N. – A car wreck with injuries was reported in central Nashville on the evening of Thursday, June 18, according to the Nashville Police Department website.
The accident is listed at 3rd Avenue North and Deaderick Street and was reported at 7:03 p.m. The cause of the accident is not yet known, nor is the extent of any injuries sustained.

UPDATE: Suspect, victim identified in hit-and-run accident in West Nashville

|NASHVILLE, T.N. – The suspect and victim in a hit-and-run accident in West Nashville reported on June 8 have been identified, per a press release from the Nashville Police Department.
According to the memo, 57-year-old Percy Williams was riding a bicycle near Charlotte Avenue and 31st Avenue North when he was hit by a 2004 Pontiac Gram Am driven by Vincent Shinault. After the accident, Shinault put the victim in his car and drove him to a nearby alley. He then dumped his body there and left the scene. Williams was seriously injured — a bystander noticed his body and called 911.
Shinault was eventually arrested for aggravated kidnapping and vehicular assault.
Police officer killed in head-on collision in Brentwood

|BRENTWOOD, T.N. – WSMV reports that a police officer was killed in a head-on collision in Brentwood on Thursday morning.
3o-year-old Destin Legieza was driving back to the precinct for a shift change when he hit by a driver head-on while traveling on Franklin Road. The crash occurred around 5 a.m.
Legieza was rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he was declared dead. The woman in the other vehicle was not seriously injured.
An investigation into the crash remains open.
One killed in single-vehicle accident in Smyrna

|SMYRNA, T.N. – One person was killed in a tragic single-vehicle accident in Smyrna on Saturday, according to Rutherford Source.
Forrest Weatherford was reportedly driving his truck near the 500 block of Nissan Drive when he lost control of his vehicle and drove off the side of the road. His truck overturned and he was ejected from the cab.
Weatherford was killed upon impact, while a passenger in the car was treated for minor injuries.
UPDATE: Two drivers killed in collision on I-40 identified

|NASHVILLE, T.N. – The two drivers killed in the three-vehicle collision on I-40 last Thursday have been identified, according to WGNS News Radio.
Authorities say 22-year-old Megan Osborne was driving her 2012 Toyota Corolla on I-40 when she lost control of her vehicle and crossed over the road’s median. She then struck a Jeep Patriot driven by 29-year-old Jared Walker. Osborne also crashed into a Kia Forte driven by Tracy Polk Jr.
Osborne and Walker were killed upon impact. Polk suffered minor injuries.
Woman killed after being hit by dump truck

|NASHVILLE, T.N. – A woman was killed after being hit by a dump truck in the West End on Tuesday afternoon, WKRN reports.
31-year-old Ruonan Yao was crossing West End Avenue in a crosswalk when she was hit by a truck turning left onto 31st Avenue South. Yao was a graduate student at Vanderbilt University. She was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and later died of her injuries.
The District Attorney’s Office is still determining whether or not charges will be filed.
Man killed in motorcycle accident in downtown Nashville

|NASHVILLE, T.N. – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision in downtown Nashville on Sunday morning, News Channel 5 reports.
28-year-old Phillip Steverson ran into a Nissan Sentra stopped at a red light at the intersection of Demonbreun and 8th Avenue South around 3:15 in the morning. He was thrown off his motorcycle and later declared dead at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
The driver of the Sentra was not injured.
