Seeing a stray dog or cat wandering the streets of Nashville is a common scene. It’s estimated there are thousands of animals in our city that don’t have homes, and an estimated 78 percent of animals that go into the custody of Metro Animal Control will be euthanized. The rate in similar cities in the United States is less than 10 percent.
Luckily, our city has other organizations that take in stray animals, provide them with care and find them homes. One of those groups is Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue, and Ponce Law is proud to name this organization as our Charity of the Month for September.
Proverbs 12:10 was founded on the premise of protecting Nashville’s homeless animals by rescuing those that are abandoned, abused, or scheduled to be euthanized. Their no-kill shelter accomplishes this mission with volunteers and families who foster animals.
