Many in Middle Tennessee were devastated to learn former Tennessee Titan, Rob Bironas, died over the weekend as the result of a Nashville car accident. Reports indicate the crash happened at around 11 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, on Battery Lane.
News Channel 5 reports Bironas was behind the wheel of a GMC Yukon Denali when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve in the road, left the roadway, and crashed into the tree line. The impact caused the SUV to roll several times before it came to a halt in a ditch. Bironas, the single victim in the crash, was transported to a local hospital, but was declared dead upon arrival.
Bironas had been the kicker for the Titans over the past nine seasons and was a cornerstone in many of the program’s accomplishments through the years. He accumulated 1,032 points during his time with the team, in addition to leading the league in field goals during the 2007 season.
Bironas was also known for his philanthropy here in town, having created the Rob Bironas Fund to provide music programs in schools for Tennessee children.
At Ponce Law, our Nashville personal injury lawyers know how difficult it can be to lose a loved one, which is why we would like to send our deepest sympathies to the Bironas family. We know that Rob’s talent and community-minded nature will be sorely missed.
