A canine attack can leave a victim with both physical and emotional scars that often take a long time to heal. The Nashville Dog Bite Lawyers with Michael D. Ponce & Associates explain that this seems to be the case for a 66-year-old woman from Parsons, Tennessee, who was seriously injured as the result of an attack by a neighbor’s dog.
According to an article released by WBBJ 7 News, the victim had her dog tied up in her back yard when she noticed the neighbor’s animal had entered the rear of the residence and began attacking her dog. The woman hesitated to attempt to break up the fight, but exited her home and threw a bucket of water at the two dogs. That is when the neighbor’s animal lunged at the victim, biting her face and torso.
The woman suffered serious injuries that required reconstructive surgery and more than 300 stitches to repair the damage that was done. She now also has a fear of any dog that enters her yard.
The Nashville Personal Injury Lawyers with Michael D. Ponce & Associates are aware of the devastating effects an animal attack can have on a victim and his or her family. That is why the firm is here to help anyone who has been bitten by a dog.
