Nashville Truck Accident Lawyers Discuss Dangers of Intersections

September 4, 2013

Highway intersections are notorious for causing high numbers of motor vehicle collisions due to changes in traffic patterns. The Nashville Truck Accident Lawyers with Ponce Law explain that an intersectional truck accident that occurred recently in Mt. Pleasant claimed the life of a 64-year-old man.

According to New Channel 5, the crash happened yesterday morning at the corner of U.S. Highway 43 and First Avenue. Reports indicate the victim was traveling along First Avenue in a black pickup. As he approached and entered the intersection with Highway 43, a tractor-trailer combination that was passing through the crossing collided with his pickup.

The impact pushed the vehicles off of the road and claimed the life of the pickup driver. Investigators are continuing to look into the cause of the crash.

News of the incident has left many citizens wondering what they can do to stay safe when traveling. Experts tend to agree that drivers should remain vigilant of safety at all times to help prevent intersectional accidents.

Michael D. Ponce & Associates’ team of Nashville Personal Injury Lawyers points out that drivers looking twice in both directions before entering an intersection can help achieve this goal. Eliminating distractions such as loud stereos, cellphones, and food or drink can also allow a driver to pay more attention to the road.
