Second Harvest Food Bank Campaign Aims to Feed the Hungry in Middle Tennessee

February 12, 2014

The Nashville Personal Injury Lawyers here at Ponce Law love helping people in need within our community. That is why we would like to spread the word about an event taking place this week in Middle Tennessee that will help put food on the tables of the less fortunate.

An announcement from the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee stated that for every new “Like” the organization receives on its Facebook page, Kroger Groceries will donate a jar of peanut butter to be distributed to those in need as part of the organization’s “Spread The Love” campaign.

The non-profit organization began collecting food donations in 1978, and they have since spread their services to cover more than 46 counties in the state. Peanut butter was selected as a donation of choice by the organization because of its low cost and high nutritional value.

Second Harvest is always collecting monetary donations as well. They add that a single dollar donation can help create 4 meals for the hungry.

The attorneys with Michael D. Ponce & Associates are always looking for new ways to give back to the communities we serve. The firm encourages those interested in our philanthropic endeavors to stay current on our latest activities by following our Facebook page.
