Two Tennessee Nursing Homes Shut Down Due to Deficiencies

The attorneys with Ponce Law are able to help anyone who has suffered Personal Injuries through no fault of their own, including nursing home abuse and neglect.

Nursing home abuse and negligence can show itself in many different forms. From mistreatment of patients to simply failing to keep proper records regarding a patient’s care, almost any mistake that is made in the treatment of a resident of a long-term care facility can be considered abuse. When reports of such incidents surface, the facility could face an investigation and possible shutdown.

Such a case was recently reported by News Channel 5. Two Memphis nursing home facilities were facing heavy public scrutiny after reports of deficiencies led to a shutdown due to inadequate patient conditions. Investigators from the Tennessee Department of Health stated the facilities were facing allegations of administrative violations, as well as failure to improve staff performance and nursing services standards. The allegations resulted in both facilities being barred from accepting new admissions until the issues are resolved.

Michael D. Ponce and Associates’ team of Tennessee Personal Injury Lawyers are aware of how confusing the laws governing injuries and medical care can be, which is why they say it is so important to have a qualified attorney on your side if you have been harmed as the result of another person’s actions.
