Where to Take Your Kids Trick-or-Treating in Nashville

Halloween can be a night of joy as children trick-or-treat for candy. But reports indicate the chances of a child being struck and killed by a car or truck are two times higher on Halloween as compared to any other night of the year.

In an effort to protect both children and adults from the dangers of a car accident, there are several events being held that offer safe places for children to trick-or-treat this year, including:

  • Cool Springs Galleria– Beginning at 6 P.M. on Halloween, stores in the mall will be handing out candy to children. The family-friendly event has asked that children age 12 and above not wear masks.
  • 5th Annual Neddy Jacobs Coffin Race– According to News Channel 5, the event will go from 5 to 8 p.m. in Lebanon Square and will feature trick-or-treating, free hot dogs, and the coffin race—which kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
  • Safe Streets/Safe Sweets– The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office will be at the county courthouse in Cookeville this evening to check trick-or-treaters’ candy with metal detectors. The first 200 in attendance will also receive gift bags from the D.A.R.E. program.

At Ponce Law, we recognize the importance of staying safe on Halloween. That’s why our Nashville personal injury lawyers encourage you to consider taking your little one to one of these upcoming events.
