Tennessee Immigrant Will Now Be Allowed to Stay in United States

November 14, 2013

Obtaining citizenship in the United States can often be difficult. However, the Nashville Immigration Lawyers with Ponce Law explain that the process of obtaining citizenship can be made easier with the right legal help.

Take the case of a Smyrna, Tennessee, woman who has avoided deportation three times and will now be legally allowed to stay in the country.

An article published by USA Today told of how the woman had entered the country illegally in 2009. For the next four years, she waited for legislation to pass that would allow her to follow a legal path towards staying in the country. But as an undocumented worker, the woman faced intense scrutiny from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office, including several trials regarding her deportation.

During each of those sessions, the woman was allowed to remain in the country on a number of conflicting legal issues. Just several weeks ago, at her last hearing, she learned that the ICE office would no longer pursue action against the woman and that she was free to stay in the United States.

Michael D. Ponce & Associates and their team of Nashville Personal Injury Lawyers are ecstatic to learn of the decision that was recently reached and would like to wish the woman the best of luck with her future here in middle Tennessee!
