Giving back to the community is important to the Nashville Personal Injury Lawyers with Ponce Law. That is why the firm has partnered with an organization that focuses on helping veterans and soldiers who have been seriously injured during their service to our country get back on their feet and overcome the obstacles of their disabilities.

The Wounded Warrior Project is a non-profit organization that was launched to serve the individuals who were injured in service after the September 11th attack. Since that time, the organization has been able to serve 44,448 injured veterans and 5,864 family members.

The organization works by focusing on four major aspects of healing from a service-related injury. They include:

  • Mind- Nurturing and calming the senses through combat stress recovery, family support, and peer mentoring is crucial to full recovery.
  • Body- Creating chances for physical activity through adaptive sports, as well as organized bike rides and hikes are also a key to the recovery process.
  • Engagement- Raising awareness of the casualties of war and what can be done to help is healing to many.
  • Economic Empowerment- Assistance with the transition from military service to civilian life and work is available.

Michael D. Ponce & Associates strongly supports the Wounded Warrior Project, along with several other charitable organizations here in Middle Tennessee. That is why the firm would urge citizens to stay up to date on the firm’s philanthropic events by regularly checking the Community Involvement page on our website!
