How to Stay Safe at the Tennessee State Fair This Weekend

Fall is quickly approaching in Middle Tennessee, and that means it’s time for the state fair. The Nashville personal injury attorneys with Ponce Law point out it’s not just rides and games that will be part of the event this year. There will be plenty of music, food, and drink as well.

Tonight, beginning at 6 p.m., the Taste of Tennessee Festival will kick off at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. The event will feature a craft brewer’s festival on Friday night that will include some of the region’s best beers—including selections from Black Abbey and Calfkiller brewing companies.

On Saturday, the festival will continue with samplings from the state’s top distillers. More than 20 companies, such as local favorites Belle Meade Bourbon and Corsair Distillery, will provide tastings of their spirits.

With so many drink options available, the chances of attendees being involved in a Nashville drunk driving accident may be higher than normal. That’s why Ponce Laws ask that you do your part to stay safe by planning ahead prior to attending fair events if you plan to drink.

Select a designated driver or use a cab or ride-sharing service, such as Lyft or Uber, to get home safely.

We hope these tips help you to have a safe and fun time at the fair this weekend!
