Crash alert: 1 dead, 3 injured in Putnam County accident

PUTNAM COUNTY, TN – A man was killed and three other people were injured in a crash in eastern Putnam County Tuesday, 1057 News reported.

34-year-old Eric Kimball was driving a Chevrolet Van on Highway 62, Clarkrange Highway, when he crossed over the center line in a curve, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.  Kimball’s vehicle then slammed into a Peterbilt tractor-trailer that was driven by 50-year-old David Stephens of Fentress County.

Kimball was killed in the crash and two children inside his van, ages 5 and 7, were injured.  Stephens was also hurt. The accident shut down Highway 62 for hours near the scene.
