by Ponce Law | November 6th, 2020

NASHVILLE, TN – Authorities are intensifying their search for a man wanted in connection with a fatal crash in Bedford County.

WSMV reports the suspect in the October 2018 accident is 28-year-old Edgar Omar Torres-Rangel. Authorities said he was driving on the wrong side of U.S. 231 North near the Rutherford County line when he struck a Nissan Sentra head-on.

The driver of the Nissan, 29-year-old Keri King of Shelbyville, was killed in the crash. King’s car crashed into another vehicle and injured that driver.

Torres-Rangel had been drinking prior to the accident, investigators said.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Tennessee Highway Patrol are putting up a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Torres-Rangel, who is wanted for vehicular homicide.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the TBI.
