Bicyclist injured in hit-and-run accident in west Nashville

NASHVILLE, T.N. – A bicyclist was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident in west Nashville on the night of Monday, June 8, WKRN reports.

The victim was riding his bike on Charlotte Avenue near 28th Avenue North when he was hit by a red car around 10:30 a.m. The driver of the car reportedly placed the victim in his car before driving off into an alley off of 35th Avenue North. The suspect then left the victim at the side of the road.

A bystander then called the police and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. The suspect was later located and taken into custody.
