Crash alert: Davidson County traffic slowed by several accidents

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TN – Tennessee 511 alerted motorists to a number of accidents slowing traffic in Davidson County on Friday.

–A crash involving multiple vehicles was reported at 10:04 a.m. on Interstate 40 westbound at mile marker 212. Westbound traffic was affected with the right lanes blocked.

–A crash was reported at 11:33 a.m. on Interstate 65 southbound at mile marker 77. The right lane was shut down, impacting southbound traffic. The scene was expected to be cleared by 12:33 p.m.

–Multiple vehicles were involved in an accident reported at 11:52 a.m. on Interstate 40 eastbound at mile marker 221. Eastbound traffic was delayed due to the shoulder of I-40 being blocked.  Officials estimated the wreck would be cleared by 1:52 p.m.

–Another crash involving multiple vehicles was reported at 11:40 a.m. on Interstate 40 westbound at Exit 212 for Fesslers Lane. The on-ramp was blocked, affecting westbound traffic. It was expected to take about two hours for the roadway to be reopened.
