LA VERGNE, TN – Tennessee state troopers are investigating an accident in Rutherford County Sunday morning that left a driver with serious injuries. WSMV reported police responded to reports of a rollover crash on Interstate 24 in La Vergne at about 6 a.m.
The driver had left the scene on foot, but authorities began searching for him after noticing blood in the area where the crash occurred.
La Vergne police found the driver atop a bluff next to the highway, and fire personnel used a ladder truck to bring him down.
The man was taken to the hospital, but further details on his injuries were not released. It was not immediately clear what caused the accident.
